M.S. Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences was established in the year 2013. The Karnataka State Government passed an act that put down the groundwork of this university. It is a private university and is recognized by UGC. It is monetarily maintained by the Gokula Education Foundation Trust. M.S. Ramaiah College of Pharmacy, M.S. Ramaiah Dental College, M.S. Ramaiah College of Hotel Management and M.S. Ramiah Advanced Learning Centre have been integrated to form this university. It has well-known university campuses at two places of Bangalore viz. Mathikere and Peenya.
MSRUAS Bangalore has strategies for bringing the students and hence the education systems close to the public by making it obligatory for every student to spend at least ONE day in a year for community service in addition to the charitable social service activities.
