P.K. University, Shivpuri was established in 2015 under Section 2f of the UGC Act 1956, as amended by MP Government Act Number 17 of 2015. P.K. University was established in response to the growing emphasis on global competitiveness, the need to bridge the gap between theory and practice, and the growing demand for highly skilled personnel in the frontier areas of Engineering & Technology, Management, Science, Information Technology & Computing, Paramedical and Pharmacy, Agriculture, Law, and other fields of education.

P.K. University is recognized and approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC), All India Council for Technical Education (AITCE), Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, New Delhi, Bar Council of India, Pharmacy Council India, Nursing Council, Ayog, and M.P Paramedical Council.
