Rama Devi Women's University is a fast-growing young Women's University in Odisha, with a state-of-the-art campus and constitutes a sprawling campus of over 25.56 acres. The University offers 21 undergraduate Programmes and 17 postgraduate courses. The UG courses are available as honors courses in Humanities, Science, and Commerce. Along with compulsory and elective courses, students must choose one subject to take as Honours. The university follows a Choice Based Credit System (CBCS).
Rama Devi Women's University, formerly known as Rama Devi Women's Autonomous College, is a state university for women named after the freedom fighter and social reformer Ramadevi Choudhury. It was established in 1964 as a college and in 2015 the first Women's University of Orissa was born as an affiliating University. 46 Women's Colleges which were previously under Utkal University came under the jurisdiction of the new University.
