SAAT 2024 Counselling

The prestigious Siksha 'O' Anusandhan Admission Test (SAAT) is an annual entrance exam conducted at the national level by the Siksha 'O' Anusandhan Deemed to be University. SAAT was established as a means for selecting highly capable students from various parts of India. SAAT 2024, marking its eleventh edition, will be conducted online, through a multiple-choice format at multiple centres spanning various cities across India. Its standards are on par with other national-level entrance tests, ensuring a fair and rigorous evaluation. SAAT not only caters to traditional disciplines but also offers opportunities for lateral entry. Through the lateral entry program, diploma holders in engineering, technology, pharmacy, and hotel management can also apply for admission to regular courses.

Counselling process

The university will release the merit list based on the candidates' scores in the entrance exam following the release of the SAAT 2024 results. Each program and category will have its own merit lists. On its official website, the university will announce the counselling procedure and schedule. Candidates must register online for counselling and pay the necessary counselling charge.

Counselling may also be provided offline in person at specific locations.

Choice Filling and Seat Allotment

Candidates who have registered must select the programs and institutions of their choice. Seats will be allocated based on preferences and merit. Candidates have the option to accept or refuse the given seat.

Document verification

Candidates who have been shortlisted must show up for document verification at the specified counselling centre. For verification, both the original documents and their photocopies will be needed.

  • Proof of Identity (Aadhar)
  • Original Date of Birth Certificate / 10th certificate
  • Original School / College Leaving Certificate
  • 12th class Certificate
  • 12th Mark Sheet and 10th Mark Sheet
  • Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree Certificate (for Lateral Entry Candidates)
  • Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree Mark Sheet (for Lateral Entry Candidates)
  • Bachelor’s Degree Certificate (for MCA / M.Tech. / M.Pharm. / M.Sc. Nursing / M.Sc. All / MBA/MHA/MTTM/ MHM/MBA-Agribusiness)
  • Mark sheet for the undergraduate degree (for MCA or M.Tech. / M.Pharm. / M.Sc. Nursing / M.Sc. All /MBA/MHA/ MBA in HM)
  • Two sets of attested photocopies of all original documents.
  • Four recent passport-size coloured photographs
  • Caste Certificate along with original caste certificate

Seat Confirmation and Payment of Fees

Candidates must confirm their acceptance of the allocated seat by paying the admission fees after their documents have been verified. If this isn't done within the allotted time, the seat can be lost. Candidates are required to pay the admission fees once a seat is confirmed in order to ensure their admission. This fee cannot be waived.

The counselling process is conducted online.
Candidate original documents are verified during document verification which is a vital stage in the counselling process.
