Application Process

Step 1: Register online by creating your applicant profile.

Step 2: Verify your registered email address to activate your account.

Step 3: Complete the application form with accurate personal and academic details.

Step 4: Pay the INR 2,000 application fee through the online payment gateway. For NRI / NRI Sponsored / Management categories (Indian/Foreign applicants or candidates applying after the General Category window), the application fee is INR 3,000.

Step 5: Review and submit the completed application form

Admission Process

The Unitedworld Institute of Design (UID) follows a two-tier admission process designed to assess a candidate’s creative aptitude, design thinking, and problem-solving skills in a structured and transparent manner.

  • Tier 1: UID Design Aptitude Test (DAT) – 100 Marks

    The UID Design Aptitude Test (DAT) assesses candidates’ creativity, observation skills, visualisation ability, and overall design aptitude.

    Mode: Online. Sample question papers are available on the official UID website.

  • Tier 2: Situation Test & Portfolio Evaluation / Portfolio Evaluation & Personal Interview

    This stage evaluates candidates’ hands-on problem-solving abilities, design process, creative thinking, and presentation skills through a Situation Test and Portfolio Evaluation, or through a Portfolio Evaluation followed by a Personal Interview.

Unitedworld Institute of Design eligibility

  • General Category: Candidates must complete 10+2 (any stream) / 3-year Diploma and clear UID’s two-tier evaluation process and secure a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in the last qualifying examination.
  • NRI / NRI Sponsored / Management / Foreign Categories:Admission is based on Digital Portfolio evaluation, along with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in the last qualifying examination.
