The Vokkaligara Sangha Dental College Bangalore came into existence in 1986, with the patronage of Rajya Vokkaligara Sangha Bangalore, Karnataka. The trust runs 18 educational institutions, including V S Dental College & Hospital VSDC&H. The dental institution was established, with a vision of becoming "one among the Nation's premier Institutions by imbibing excellence in oral health education, research and innovative health care practices". Affiliated to the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences and recognized by the Dental Council of India, the institution is located near, to the Central Railway and Bus station. Along with nearly 1,20,000 sq.ft. V.S. Dental College premises, it is considered among the Top Dental Colleges Bangalore.

VS Dental College Bangalore is attached to the Kempegowda Institute of Medical Sciences Hospital, another constituent of Rajya Vokkaligara Sangha Karnataka, for extensive dental education, practices and training purposes. The hospital has a good inflow of 300 to 500 patients every day. Students are sent to the hospital to get hands-on training on real-world dental challenges and treatment of the community.

  • Candidates shall have passed B.Sc. of an Indian University, with not less than two of the following subjects: Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany, Zoology) and English as one of the languages.
  • Candidates must have secured a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology in the qualifying examination (40% marks for SC/ ST / OBC candidates).
  • Candidates must have obtained a valid score in the competitive examinations.

Eligibility Criteria of MDS Course:

  • Candidates must have completed BDS from a university or college recognized by the Dental Council of India.
  • Candidates must have completed one year of the compulsory rotatory residential internship program.
  • Candidates are admitted, on the performance in the competitive examinations conducted by the central government/state government/Universities or institutions.
