Vydehi Nursing College Admissions

To apply here students must follow the admission process specific to the programme in which they are applying.

Eligibility Criteria:

• General Nursing and Midwifery
• Passed 10+2 or equivalent in any stream.
• Foreign nationals (Nepal, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Tibetan refugees) are eligible.
• Foreign candidates must have a Class 12 equivalent recognized by AIU or the relevant authority.
• Basic B.Sc. Nursing
• Pass in 10+2 or equivalent examination.
• Minimum 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English (aggregate).
• Reserved category candidates: Minimum 40% marks in PCB and English (aggregate).
• Minimum age: 17 years as on August 31 of the admission year.
• Admission is based on merit in the qualifying examination.
• Post-basic BSc Nursing
• Must have passed GNM after 10+2 or equivalent, preferably from the respective state/country.
• Should be a registered nurse and midwife (or equivalent) with any State Nursing Registration Council.
• Candidates above 48 years of age as on 31st December of the admission year are not eligible
• Foreign nationals (Nepal, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Tibetan refugees) must hold a valid nurse registration from their home country for the Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing admission.
• M.Sc. Nursing Course
• B.Sc. Nursing (Basic): 1 year of work experience required.
• Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing: No experience needed.
• Must be a registered nurse and midwife with the State Nursing Council and NRTS
• Foreign nationals need a valid nurse registration (not mandatory for the OBG specialty).
• The degree must be from RGUHS or an equivalent recognized university.

Admission Process:

• Eligibility Check: Applicants must have completed 10+2 with Science subjects (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) and meet the minimum aggregate score requirement.
• Online Application: Eligible candidates must complete the online application form, provide accurate details, and upload the necessary documents within the stipulated time.
• Entrance Examination: Candidates must appear for the Karnataka Entrance Examination, which assesses knowledge in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English.
• Result and Merit List: The university website publishes the results, followed by a merit list prepared based on the entrance exam performance.
• Counselling Process: Shortlisted candidates attend the counselling session to select their preferred course based on merit rank and seat availability.
• Document Verification: Candidates must present their original documents for verification during counselling.
• Seat Allotment: Seats are allocated based on merit and candidate preferences.
• Admission Confirmation: Selected candidates must confirm their admission by paying the prescribed fees within the given deadline.
• Commencement of Classes: Admitted students begin classes as per the academic calendar, including theory, practical sessions, and clinical training.
