BAMS Admissions

The BAMS admission process in Bangalore is structured according to the guidelines set by the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM) and the Ministry of AYUSH. Admission is based on NEET-UG scores, and candidates must participate in centralized counselling conducted by the state or central authorities.

BAMS Eligibility Criteria

To secure admission into BAMS colleges in Bangalore with fees suited to various financial backgrounds, candidates must meet the following eligibility requirements:

  • Must have completed 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as core subjects
  • A minimum of 50% aggregate marks in PCB (40% for reserved categories)
  • The applicant must be at least 17 years of age at the time of admission
  • NEET-UG qualification is mandatory for all candidates, including NRI and foreign students

BAMS Selection Process

Admission is strictly merit-based and follows these key steps:

  • Candidates must appear for and qualify for the NEET-UG exam
  • Register with the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) or the central counselling portal
  • Select preferred colleges and lock in choices
  • Based on NEET rank and availability
  • Document Verification & Admission Confirmation

Documents Required for Counseling:

  • Date of birth certificate
  • NEET Admit card Marks sheet and Passing Certificate
  • Aadhaar Card
  • At least 5 Recently captured Colored Passport Size Photo
  • Category certificate (if any)
  • Matriculation (10th) certificate
  • 12th or equivalent exam certificates
  • Rank card
  • Domicile certificate

Admission Procedure for Outstation/ Foreign Students:

  • For foreign students a clearance certificate is needed to be obtained from the Ministry of Human Resources Development, Government of India, New Delhi.
  • They need to acquire a no-objection certificate from RGUHS, Bangalore, in case of candidates have other qualifications not mentioned in the prospectus as the equivalent of Bangalore State P.U.C Examination.
  • They need to produce a regular student Visa/ Long Term Visa issued by the office of the DG, Bangalore and a copy of the medical screening.

Candidates must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology and qualified for NEET-UG.
Selection is merit-based, depending on NEET scores and counselling procedures.
NEET scorecard, 10th & 12th marksheets, ID proof, transfer certificate, and category certificate (if applicable).
