Bangalore University is located in Bangalore, Karnataka, India's Silicon Valley. The UGC has approved it, and the NAAC has given it an 'A' rating. According to NIRF 2021, Bangalore University is placed 69th among India's top universities. Bangalore University includes 48 postgraduate departments, a Kolar Postgraduate Centre, four constituent colleges, and 684 affiliated colleges. It also encompasses a number of additional higher education and research centers and directorates.

In the year 1965-66, Bangalore University offered Honours courses as a first step in the reorganization of course instructions, which began shortly after the university's founding. Many talented students have enrolled in three-year Honours programs in Botany, Chemistry, Economics, English, Geology, Kannada, Mathematics, and Zoology, which are exclusively available at university postgraduate departments. Honors-passed students were granted priority admission to Post Graduate Courses, while B.A./B.Sc. graduates who narrowly missed admission to Post Graduate Courses were offered the option to enroll in the final year Honours course and then apply for Post Graduate Courses. Bangalore University has increased in size and strength since 1964, with a significant number of affiliated colleges and P.G. Centers offering a wide range of program options.

Arts, Science, Commerce & Management, Education, Law, and Engineering are the six faculties that make up the University's academic organization. It oversees 48 postgraduate departments, one postgraduate center at Kolar (established in 1994-95), four university colleges, 684 associated colleges, and a number of additional centers and directorates of higher education and research. The University currently offers 50 postgraduate courses as well as employment-oriented diploma and certificate programs. The University has begun offering Five-Year Integrated Biological Sciences Courses.

Bangalore University Placement Description

Bangalore University has a dedicated Training & Placement Cell that provides students with a variety of work options based on their qualifications. The cell hosts a variety of placement-related seminars and workshops, including mock interview drills, simulated aptitude tests, personality development, and group discussion sessions, among others. Students are placed by the cell, based on their continuous performance in their particular courses over the years.

Every year, more than 150 companies come to the university to recruit students. Students that take BE & ME courses are hired 80-90 percent of the time. INR 14 LPA - INR 15 LPA was the highest wage package offered, while INR 4 LPA - INR 5 LPA was average.

Hostel

There are hostel facilities for both male and female students. There are 6 hostels for boys and 1 hostel for girls. Accommodation is provided for up to 1968 students. Hostels have amenities like dining, drinking water, a reading room, a TV, and daily newspapers.
