Admisson Process in CBIT Kolar

UG Admission

• Second year PUC or 10+2 or equivalent examination recognized by the University (with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with any one of the following subjects, namely, Chemistry, Bio-Technology, Computer Science, Biology and Electronics)
• Admission to II year/ III semester Bachelor Degree in Engineering/ Technology (Lateral Entry) shall be open to the candidates who has diploma or equivalent qualification as recognized by University
• They should score a minimum of 45% marks
• For SC/ ST the minimum marks is 40%
• Candidates need to appear in entrance test KMAT

PG Admission

For CBIT Kolar Admissions in M.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering

• They should have a bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science & Engineering / Electronics & Communication Engineering/ Electrical & Electronics Engineering/ Information Science & Engineering/ Instrumentation/Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering or equivalent degree
• AMIE in appropriate branch.
• GATE: CS, EC, EE, IT,IN

For M.Tech in VLSI Design and Embedded Systems

• They should have a bachelor’s Degree in Electronics & Communication/Instrumentation Engineering / Electronics & Telecommunication / Telecommunication/Electrical & Electronics/ Bio-Medical Engineering/Medical Electronics or equivalent degree
• AMIE in appropriate branch
• GATE: EC, IN, EE

Selection Criteria

• Students will be selected for CBIT Kolar Courses on the basis of the rank obtained KMAT exam.
• Final cut off for the current year combined with the scores of the student will finalise their selection.

Documents required:

• Original and photocopied 10th and 12th mark sheet for UG admissions.
• Internship completion certificate (If Applicable)
• Three passport size photographs in formals.
• Copy of Aadhaar card and house tax bill.
• Original and photocopied 10th and 12th mark sheet for UG admissions.
• University registration form
• Date of birth proof.
• Mark sheet of UG Examination (For M-Tech and Ph.D.)
• A hard copy of the rank in JEE Mains or GATE results
