Second year PUC or 10+2 or equivalent examination recognized by the University (with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with any one of the following subjects, namely, Chemistry, Bio-Technology, Computer Science, Biology and Electronics)
Admission to II year/ III semester Bachelor Degree in Engineering/ Technology (Lateral Entry) shall be open to the candidates who has diploma or equivalent qualification as recognized by University
They should score a minimum of 45% marks
For SC/ ST the minimum marks is 40%
Candidates need to appear in entrance test KMAT
PG Admission
For CBIT Kolar Admissions in M.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering
They should have a bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science & Engineering / Electronics & Communication Engineering/ Electrical & Electronics Engineering/ Information Science & Engineering/ Instrumentation/Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering or equivalent degree
AMIE in appropriate branch.
GATE: CS, EC, EE, IT,IN
For M.Tech in VLSI Design and Embedded Systems
They should have a bachelor’s Degree in Electronics & Communication/Instrumentation Engineering / Electronics & Telecommunication / Telecommunication/Electrical & Electronics/ Bio-Medical Engineering/Medical Electronics or equivalent degree
AMIE in appropriate branch
GATE: EC, IN, EE
Selection Criteria
Students will be selected for CBIT Kolar Courses on the basis of the rank obtained KMAT exam.
Final cut off for the current year combined with the scores of the student will finalise their selection.

Internship completion certificate (If Applicable)
Three passport size photographs in formals.
Copy of Aadhaar card and house tax bill.
