CAIL Admissions

Christ Academy Institute of Law Admissions process is designed to align with students' career goals and interests. It allows the admissions department to identify candidates who are a good fit for CAIL, ensuring that students gain real-life experience. To be considered for enrollment, students must complete the application by the specified deadline. Incomplete applications will not be reviewed by the department. Admission to the college is based on several factors, including academic performance, age, commitment to the college's mission, and its perspective on legal education.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Students who have appeared for the LSAT or CLAT are exempt from the written test.
  • LSAT/CLAT scores will be given 50% weightage in the selection process.
  • Candidates must secure a minimum of 65% aggregate marks across the required criteria to be eligible for admission.
  • SC/ST candidates need to secure at least 60% aggregate marks to be eligible for admission.
  • Age Limit
    • For General Category - 20 years
    • For SC/ST and OBC Communities - 22 years

Only candidates who meet the above aggregate criteria and have the required score weightage from LSAT/CLAT will be considered for admission.

Admission Process:

  • To apply, students must submit their application online through the college website (www.calaw.in).
  • Before submitting the application form check again for any errors. incomplete form will be considered invalid.
  • Interview will be scheduled for the candidates.
  • Selected candidates will have to submit original documents at the time of admission.
  • Selected candidates must pay the prescribed fees by the deadline mentioned in the admission letter.

Documents Required:

  • 10th and 12th (or equivalent) Marks Statement
  • Transfer Certificate from the last attended institution
  • Conduct Certificate
  • Migration Certificate (for students who have completed exams other than Karnataka PU Board, such as ISC/CBSE/Other state universities)
  • Two attested copies of Marks Sheets
  • Caste Certificate
  • Ten recent passport-sized photographs

Foreign Nationals:

  • Besides the documents above students in this category need to submit valid students’ visa
  • Copy of Passport
  • Residence Permit
  • Provisional Eligibility Certificate
  • Valid Student's Visa
