Dayananda Sagar Dental College Admission

The dayananda Sagar College of dental sciences bangalore admissions are done into various courses offered by the college. The college is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka and recognised by the dental council of India. Centralised counselling is done by the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) for admissions into the college. The DayanandaSagar College of Dental Sciences provides undergraduate, postgraduate and Ph.D. programs in various specializations. The admission into different courses has different eligibility criteria’s.

Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS)

Students who are willing to join the BDS course are eligible only if he /she have passed the two-year Pre-University Examination of Karnataka’s Pre-University Board (or equivalent qualifying examination of other recognised boards) with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English as one of the languages of study. He/she should have appeared and qualified in National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET).

Candidate should have obtained not less than 50% of the aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together and a pass percentage in the English language qualifying examination, or any other examination recognised as equivalent by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore Karnataka. Certain category students are notified by the government and shall be given a relaxation of 10% in the aggregate marks required for eligibility. He / She shall have obtained the required percentile marks in the NEET Examination as notified by the authority.

All the seats are allotted through the centralized counselling conducted by the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA). It is a five years full time course combining one year of internship. The Dayananda Sagar College of Dental Sciences Placements are conducted during the final year of the course. During the time of internship students get to learn many new things and they also do real time practice.

Master of Dental Surgery (MDS)

The Masters of Dental Surgery (MDS) is done after completing BDS and the course is of three years duration and students are required to be enrolled as full-time candidates. Students who are interested to do masters must have BDS degree from a university or college which is recognised by Dental Council of India, New Delhi. The students can also have equivalent qualification recognised by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore. All the seats are allocated based on the counselling. He / she should have appeared and qualified in National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET). The students should have obtained the required percentile marks in the NEET Examination as notified.

Ph.D

The students who are willing to get enrolled for Ph.D program should have a degree in M.D.S. Candidates who want to register for Ph.D course under RGUHS should appear for the entrance test conducted by the University even if they are having qualified UGC – NET (including JRF)/UGC-CSIR NET (including JRF)/SLET/GATE/ Teacher fellowship holder or have passed M.Phil Program. Students should have score Ph.D. Entrance Test with 50% marks. The Students who score 50% and above marks are declared qualified and such marks are valid for that academic year only.
