The engineering programs at DBIT are hugely popular among the students from Karnataka and outside. The college offers graduate as well as postgraduate courses in the field of Engineering &Technology and management. The college has been imparting quality education to the society for more than 16 years of academic excellence with its inception in 2001. The Don Bosco College Courses are verified by the affiliating university and approved from the concerned statutory councils. The courses and their syllabus are well updated as per the recent trends of industry.

The students can find the engineering programs across several specializations at UG and PG level along with an MBA program with dual specialization. The courses are taught and regulated by a team of very experienced teaching staffs appointed in the college administration. The teachers teach the courses using the modern means of technologies like AV and projector based classrooms in order to provide a better understanding of the subject matter. The various programs at this college includes-

BE (Bachelor of Engineering):

The college provides a degree in Bachelor of Engineering across seven disciplines. The courses are accomplished over duration of four years. An industrial internship is compulsory for the students in their final year. The courses are designed to provide the understanding of courses in depth. The following programs offered under BE are-

• CSE: The Computer Science Engineering branch at this college started with 60 seats which further enhance to 180 seats at present. This program is accomplished over four year duration. This department is a recognized research centre for the PHD programs.
• ECE:TheElectronics & Communication Engineering is the branch of engineering that deals with the research, designing, developing and testing of the electronicequipment used in various systems. It also deals with manufacturing of circuits, electronic devices etc. The course is for four year duration with an intake capacity of 120 seats.
• ISE: The Information Science Engineering is another branch of engineering that primarily deals with the designing of technological information systems, computational systems etc. The department has an intake capacity of 60 seats. This course has been accredited by NAAC in 2008 for 3 years.
• ME: The mechanical engineering is the core branch of engineering which was started in the college by 2002. This department has an annual intake capacity of 120 seats. The department runs one R & D centre.
• EEE: The department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering was initiated in the year 2003-04. The students under this department learn about the current trends of electrical engineering. This department organizes several national and state level conferences every year.
• TCE: The Telecommunication Engineering branch at this college was initiated in the year 2009 with a vision to establish academic excellence in the field of Telecom Engineering. The students go through a lot of theoretical and practical training in their subject.
• CE: The department of Civil Engineering is another core branch of engineering completed over four year duration. This course was introduced to the college curriculum in the year 2013. The program is approved from AICTE. The department consists of several labs to conduct practical trainings on the subject syllabus.

M-Tech (Master of Technology):

The college offers a master’s degree in the field of engineering. This PG programs offers four specializations to the candidates. The course duration is of two years. The whole curriculum is full of projects and lab learning throughout the four semesters. The programs are approved from AICTE and recognized by VTU. It includes-

• Power System Engineering

MBA (Master of Business Administration):

This college also offers a degree program in MBA with dual specialization. This PG program has drawn a huge attention of students. This was initiated in the year 2004 to achieve academic excellence in the field of commerce & management. The MBA program is accomplished over two year duration. It provides the following streams-
