At the undergraduate level, Gujarat Ayurved University Admissions offers Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medical Sciences, Bachelor of Pharmacy in Ayurveda, Bachelor of Science(Yoga) degree courses, and at the postgraduate level, the university offers Master of Science degree courses in Medicinal Plants, Master of Pharmacy in Ayurveda, Master of Surgery(Ayurveda), and Doctorate of Medicine(Ayurveda) degree courses.

GAU is responsible for managing affiliated and on-campus institutes and colleges, as well as conducting all degree/diploma examinations. Gujarat Ayurved University is controlled and operated by three wings, which comprise all degree and diploma examinations, as well as other related activities. The Gujarat Ayurved University campus has all of the amenities that students and faculty require. Among the amenities are the library, smart classrooms, canteen, activity hall, and playground.

Admission to GAU is based on merit. For some courses, qualifying exam scores are considered to determine admission. For others, there is an entrance exam followed by an interview conducted by the university.
