LHMC Admission

The procedures for Lady Hardinge medical college admission is controlled and managed by the admission authority of the institution. The prospectus and notification for admission to the medical courses is issued by the Faculty of Medical Sciences at Delhi University. Aspirants from all over country appear in very huge number for the undergrad and postgrad courses at LHMC. The enrollment to a particular course is composed of application process, fulfilling eligibility criteria, entrance exam and the selection procedure finally.

UG Admission (MBBS):

LHMC offers admission to its undergrad medical program to the students. MBBS is a 4.5 year duration course with one year of internship. The application form can be processed online and offline as well. LHMC offers a total of 200 MBBS seats out of which 155 are the state quota seats filled by Delhi University on the basis of merit in entrance exams, conducted by CBSE.The total number of seats for Lady Hardinge medical college admission 2020 has been increased by a count of 40 seats.

Seat reservation:

  • Scheduled Caste- 15% (23 seats)
  • Scheduled Tribe- 7.5% (12 seats)
  • OBC- 27%(42 seats)

Eligibility for MBBS:

  • Candidate should be a female and Indian national.
  • Candidates' age should be at least 17 years on Dec 31 of the concerned academic session.
  • Qualified HSC/ 10+2 or any other equivalent with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Biochemistry& English from a recognized board of state/ center.
  • OBC candidates are given a relaxation of 5% while SC/ ST with a relaxation of 10% in their minimum aggregate.
  • A valid score/ rank in NEET-UG with at least 50 percentile for General, 45 percentile for physically handicapped and 40 percentile for SC/ ST & OBC.

Entrance Exam

: NEET UG conducted in the month of May. The total marks for the paper is 720. Each question is of 4 marks with negative marking of 1. Counseling is conducted on the basis of marks obtained in NEET and thereby the course availability for students.

PG Admissions (MS, MD, PG Diploma):

These are the postgrad courses offered by LHMC. Master of Surgery & Doctor of Medicine, both the degree programs are of 3 years duration while PG Diploma is of 2 years. LHMC offers 142 seats for the PG programs. 50% of the seats are DU quota seats and proportionately the reserved quota seats. Both female as well as male candidates can apply for PG programs.

Eligibility:

  • Candidate should have qualified MBBS from a recognized university of India along with internship completion on or before 31st March.
  • A valid score/ rank obtained in NEET-PG is required.

Super-specialty course Admission

: Medical aspirants looking for such courses are required with a MS degree only. M. Ch. and DM both are 3 years duration course.There is no separate All India level entrance exam for these programs.

  • M.Ch. (Peds. Surgery)
  • DM (Neonatology)
