It Should be noted that admission in Maharashtra medical colleges for MBBS is not based on AIPMT. Only Students with Maharashtra Domicile who have completed their last 7 years of education in Maharashtra can appear for MHCET. Non – Maharashtra domicile students need to appear for AMUPMDC or Private Entrance Exam of University.

The medical colleges in Maharashtra offers UG and PG program to the willing candidates. The application for admission can be processed online as well as offline. The candidates seeking admission to MBBS program should have qualified their 12th standard or any other equivalent with science stream with Biology and compulsory English subject from a recognized state or central board.
The general candidates should have a minimum aggregate of 50% marks while the reserved categories need a minimum of 40% marks in the qualifying exams. Candidates' age must be at least 17 years on or before 31st Dec of concerned academic session.
Besides 12th merit, candidates should have obtained a valid rank/ score in the NEET-UG exams which is applicable in all the colleges of Mumbai and Maharashtra. Other entrance exams are there as well under the state quota. The admission to the medical programs is based on merit while some percentage of the seats are kept reserved for Management Quota.

MBBS fee for private colleges is governed by their respective authorizing body while the fee for government colleges is approved by Directorate Medical Education and Research (DMER), Mumbai.
