Motherhood University in Roorkee, Haridwar, was established in 2015 as a state-private higher education institution. The campus is located at Roorkee on 12 acres of land near the Solani River. The University is promoted and mentored by the Motherhood Institute of Management and Technology Society. It is approved by the University Grants Commission and the Bar Council of India. It offers a learning atmosphere that is ideal for academic success through suitable, cutting-edge amenities. It offers courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels in a range of subject areas. The university also has the approval of AICTE, NCTE, and the Indian Pharmacy Council.

The university is supported by The Motherhood Institute of Management and Technology Society. The Society was established on December 23, 2004, to improve the employability of aspirant youth in Uttarakhand and throughout the nation via training, education, and research. The Society also aims to create humanitarian hospitals, orphanages, clinics, nursing homes, and other facilities. Shri K.D. Sharma, a well-known social worker, founded the organization. Shri K.D. Sharma founded this society to launch numerous vocational and technical programs for students who are still denied access to a high-quality education.

• Motherhood University, Roorkee is Recognized by the UGC with the right to award degrees u/s 22(1) of the UGC Act 1956.
• Motherhood University, Roorkee, and the Degrees awarded by the University are recognized by the UGC under section 2(f) of the UGC Act, 1956.
• Motherhood University, Roorkee has been recognized by the Bar Council of India under Section 7 (1) I of the Advocates Act 1961, and the University has been granted recognition to confer the degree of law for imparting three-year and five-year law courses with a capacity of 240 students in each program.
• The Pharmacy Council of India has granted permission to Motherhood University's Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences in Roorkee to provide D. Pharm. and B. Pharm. programs following Section 12 of the Pharmacy Act.
• The NRC of NCTE monitors Motherhood University, Roorkee. Motherhood University's Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) program is fully recognized by the NCTE.
