Nandi Engineering College Admission

Students from Bangalore and whole over Karnataka appear at Nandi Institute of Technology Admissions for its bachelor program in engineering. This college has witnessed a huge increase in the number of applicants applying for the B.E program. The candidates looking for admissions to engineering programs are required to take concerned entrance exams as subjected to the approval of institute from time to time. The admission process to this college is quite transparent and carried out under the guidelines of its affiliating university, VTU (Visvesvaraya Technological University).

Application Process

  • Applicants can visit the official website in order to apply for the course offered by NIT.
  • Applicants are required to pay the application fee which is non-refundable.
  • Email ID is required for all correspondences until enrolment is completed.
  • Applicants should carefully choose the branch of engineering while filling form.
  • Application form is required to be submitted along with the enclosures and required documents.
  • The registration is completed after final submission of form along with relevant documents and the application fee.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Those candidates who have qualified their Higher Secondary/ PUC/ Intermediate/ 10+2 or any other equivalent exams with a minimum aggregate of 45% from any recognized state or central board are eligible to apply for the engineering programs at NIT.
  • Those candidates belonging to reserved category like SC/ ST or OBC are required with a minimum of 40% marks in their 10+2 qualifying exams to meet the eligibility criteria.
  • The subject of study in 10+2 should be Physics, Mathematics, English and Chemistry/ Computer Science/ Physical Education/ Electronics/ Economics or other optional subjects

Entrance Exams

  • KCET (Karnataka Common Entrance Test)
  • COMEDK-UGET (Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka - Under Graduate Entrance Test)

The appearing candidates can also take up the above mentioned entrance exams in order to get a seat in the engineering programs at NIT. The candidates are required to produce a valid score-card/ rank-card obtained by them in the exams of KCET or COMEDK in addition to the fulfillment of 10+2 marks percentage.

Selection Procedure

The admission department at NIT follows all the protocols laid down by its affiliating university, VTU. The admission process is quite smooth and transparent. Shortlisted candidates are finalized based upon their merit and other curricular achievements. This college ensures no biasing in the selection of candidates. The finally selected candidates are intimated via an Email. Further, the candidates are expected to meet the requirements of admission departments in order to confirm the enrolment under their desired B.E program.
