NMAT Preparation Tips

Important NMAT Preparation Tips:

  • The preparation should be based on the exam pattern and syllabus
  • First step is to understand the basic concepts.
  • This will help them to have a command over the subjects
  • Thirst is to practise mock test as they will be aware of the pattern of the question asked in the test, they will have an understanding of time management

While preparation they should focus on:

  • Preparation time
  • Books and study material
  • Finalizing a preparation strategy
  • Take a coaching or self preparation, whichever is better

For NMAT Mock Test:

  • Candidates can register in the official website
  • They can register one practise exam for free
  • For 2 & 3 they will have to buy the practise exam
  • The test will have the 108 questions in the same structure as the actual exam
  • They can attempt twice
  • While starting a mock test, have a clear strategy or as it is a practise session introduce other strategies for different mock test and choose for the actual exam which will have the best outcome
  • Identify the areas of strength and weakness
  • If there is any particular pattern or mistake in the mock tests, it would be fairly easier rectify it after identifying the cause of the error.
  • Check whether the mistakes that is occurring, are due to lack of concentration or conceptual ambiguity.

The time it takes to prepare for the NMAT is based on when you begin. If a candidate is already studying for the CAT/XAT/MAT, a month is all that is required to prepare for the NMAT. However, if a person is starting from scratch with a new preparation, a minimum of three months is required.
