NMIMS, Mumbai Ranking

Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies ( NMIMS ), Mumbai is approved under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission ( UGC ) Act, 1956. On January 13, 2003, NMIMS was granted Deemed to be University status based on its achievement in Management Education and leadership experience. The Government of India reconfirmed and made the status permanent in a letter dated October 15, 2007.

Following a review by the University Grants Commission in 2006, NMIMS (Deemed to be University) chose to diversify into various fields. This choice to diversify was inspired by India's shifting demographic structure and rising education needs, notably among middle-class families seeking professional education. Hence, individual schools were established offering Pharmacy, Law, Commerce, and Architecture programs.

NMIMS and its programs are accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council ( NAAC ) with a 3.59 CGPA and an A+ Grade, the National Board of Accreditation ( NBA ), and the South Asian Quality Systems ( SAQS ).

SAQS has established itself as the Quality Assurance System that represents the greatest level of success for management schools. AMDISA believes that institutions that achieve Quality Assurance demonstrate their commitment to quality and continuous improvement by undergoing a rigorous and comprehensive peer review of their institutional mission and its alignment, faculty capability and composition, curricula quality, admission, and delivery system, research and executive education, pursuing regional and global networks, promoting connections with the corporate world, and making appropriate contributions to the community.
