The Central Training and Placement Committee (TPC) at Sankalchand Patel University (SPU) is led by a convener and includes members from all constituent institutes and Swami Sachchidanand Polytechnic College. Each member acts as the institute coordinator for their respective institution, reporting to the Hon. Provost through the TPC Convener. The committee operates in alignment with the university's vision and mission, focusing on enhancing student employability and securing placements at reputable organizations. The committee also emphasizes efficient management of resources, ensuring the Sankalchand Patel University cost for placement activities is kept optimal, thereby providing students with valuable opportunities at minimal expense.

Roles and Responsibilities

The TPC is tasked with coordinating placement activities at the institute level, maintaining comprehensive records of current and alumni students, and mentoring students for skill enhancement and placements. The committee arranges various training programs to improve employability, covering areas like grooming, aptitude tests, and skill enrichment. Faculty involvement is encouraged to support these initiatives, with expert sessions organized to meet recruiters' specific requirements.

Networking and Recruitment Coordination

The committee is responsible for establishing and maintaining long-term relationships with recruiters, including alumni, and organizing pre-placement talks both on and off campus. The TPC also coordinates campus visits for recruitment, ensuring all logistical arrangements, such as interview facilities and transportation for off-campus drives, are handled smoothly.

Documentation and Communication

During placement drives, the committee ensures all necessary documents, such as the list of eligible students and job announcement forms, are prepared. The
