VYMAK College of Allied Health Sciences Courses are affiliated with Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS), Bengaluru. The admission process is merit-based, in accordance with government and university guidelines. Candidates must meet specific academic eligibility criteria, including subject requirements and recognized board qualifications. The institute accepts students from diverse educational backgrounds while ensuring alignment with the standards set by RGUHS. Additionally, lateral entry options are available for eligible diploma holders.

Eligibility Criteria

A candidate seeking admission must have studied English as one of the main subjects and fulfilled one of the following academic qualifications:

  • PUC or Equivalent: Two-year Pre-University Course (PUC) or equivalent recognized by RGUHS with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as principal subjects.
  • Pre-Degree Course: Pre-Degree course from a recognized university (two years after ten years of schooling) with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, considered equivalent by RGUHS.
  • Equivalent Examinations: Any other equivalent exam recognized by RGUHS with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
  • Vocational Higher Secondary Education (Kerala): Conducted by the Government of Kerala with five subjects, including Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English, considered equivalent to Karnataka's Pre-University Course.
  • Diploma Holders (Lateral Entry Eligibility): Candidates with a 2-year or 3-year government-recognized diploma in the relevant Allied Health subject and who have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology may be eligible for lateral entry to the second year, provided RGUHS recognizes the diploma.

Candidates seeking VYMAK College of Allied Health Sciences Admission must have passed each subject individually as per eligibility criteria. Those who have completed diploma or vocational courses through correspondence are not eligible for admission to the Allied Health Science programs. VYMAK Institute of Allied Health Sciences maintains limited intake to ensure quality education and focused training. The annual intake includes 20 seats each for Anesthesia & Operation Theatre Technology (AT & OT), Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT), and Medical Imaging Technology (MIT). The Cardiac Care Technology program has an annual intake of 10 seats. All admissions are subject to RGUHS norms and government approval.

Yes, eligible diploma holders may apply for second-year lateral entry if recognized by RGUHS.
