Exam Pattern

The AILET entrances exam pattern is published by the NLU, Delhi, for the BBA LLB, LLM, and Ph.D. programs. Candidates to make their preparation effective and fruitful, they need to be aware of the exam pattern. Exam pattern is a way in which applicants can attain an understanding of what the question paper contains like the format, weightage for each question, and scoring system for the exam. The exam is conducted in offline mode (pen and paper-based). You will have to attend 150 questions that are split into three sections such as English Language, Logical Reasoning, and Current Affairs and GK, within the given duration of 120 minutes. The exam is evaluated and graded for 150 marks. Each correct answer carries one mark and 0.25 negative marks for wrong answers.

Paper Analysis

AILET (All India Law Entrance Test) is a national-level entrance exam conducted by the National Law University, Delhi for admission to undergraduate and postgraduate law programs. The paper analysis of AILET 2025 can provide insight into the level of difficulty of the exam, the types of questions asked, and the overall structure of the exam.

The AILET paper is divided into 3 sections: English Language Comprehension, General Knowledge and current affairs, and Reasoning.

  • English Language Comprehension: This section tests the candidate's comprehension skills and grammar. The questions are based on passages from various sources such as novels, essays, and newspapers.
  • General Knowledge and Current Affairs: This section tests the candidate's knowledge of current events and general knowledge. The questions are based on current events, history, politics, and geography.
  • Reasoning:This section tests the candidate's logical and analytical skills. The questions are based on verbal and non-verbal reasoning, critical reasoning, and Legal principles may be used in the logical reasoning section to evaluate logical aptitude; however, no particular legal knowledge or technical comprehension will be required for the exam.

As per the recent analysis, the paper was moderate in terms of difficulty level. The English comprehension and reasoning sections were considered to be of moderate difficulty. The general knowledge sections were considered to be relatively easier.
