Exam Pattern Highlight

The AIMA UGAT (Under Graduate Aptitude Test) is conducted by the All India Management Association (AIMA) for admissions into various undergraduate programs such as BBA, BCA, B.Com, Integrated MBA (IMBA), and BHM. The exam pattern is designed to assess candidates' aptitude across different sections relevant to their chosen course. The AIMA UGAT exam pattern for 2025 is a paper-based test assessing candidates in English, Numerical & Data Analysis, Reasoning, and General Knowledge. BHM aspirants have additional sections: Service and Scientific Aptitude. The exam comprises 130–180 questions, depending on the course, with a duration of 2–3 hours. Each correct answer awards +1 marks, and negative marking 0.5 marks applies.

  • UGAT will be conducted in offline mode as a paper-based test
  • The AIMA UGAT exam will consist of 130 questions for BA, BCA, B.Com, and Integrated MBA (IMBA), whereas the BHM program will include a total of 180 questions.
  • There is no deduction of marks for wrong answers.
  • The question paper will have 4 sections- English Language, Numerical & Data Analysis, General Knowledge,and Reasoning and Intelligence. For BHM, 2 additional sections, Service Aptitude and Scientific Aptitude will also be included.
  • The allocated time for the AIMA UGAT is 2 hours for most undergraduate programs, while for the BHM program, the duration is 3 hours due to the inclusion of additional sections.

UGAT follows a standardized exam pattern, designed to assess the aptitude and skills of the candidates. The AIMA UGAT exam pattern consists of 4 sections. The question paper is available in English the total number of questions varies based on selected subjects.

The mock test plays a pivotal role in preparing for the UGAT exam, They provide candidates with an opportunity to simulate the actual test environment and assess their strengths and weaknesses. The mock test of UGAT resembles the actual test, covering the same sections and question formats, helping to identify areas of weakness and those needing further improvement. Candidates can analyse their performance in each section and focus on enhancing their skills in weaker domains. Regularly practising mock tests aids in tracking progress over time. Mock tests offer diverse questions, challenging candidates’ problem-solving skills. By solving different questions, candidates can develop various approaches and techniques to tackle problems effectively.

For most courses (BBA, BCA, B.Com, IMBA): The exam carries 130 marks. For BHM (Bachelor of Hotel Management), the exam carries 180 marks.
