AIMA UGAT syllabus is designed to assess the aptitude of candidates seeking admission to various undergraduate programmes. The AIMA UGAT syllabus consists of 4 sections.
1. English language-
this section evaluates candidates’ proficiency in English. It covers topics like verbal reasoning, reading comprehension, grammar, and reading comprehension. Candidates must put their attention towards increasing their reading and comprehension abilities as well as their grammar and vocabulary knowledge.2. Numerical and Data Analysis- The mathematical and analytical skills of the candidates are examined in this section. Number systems, arithmetic algebra, geometry, data interpretation, and statistical analysis are some of the topics covered here. Candidates must possess an understanding of math and practice solving numerical problems with speed and accuracy.
3. Reasoning and intelligence- The logical reasoning and analytical abilities of candidates are evaluated in this section. Critical thinking, coding-decoding, puzzles, series completion, analogies, and syllogisms are some of the topics covered. For this portion of the exam, candidates need to improve their problem-solving skills and practise different types of reasoning questions.
4. General Knowledge- Candidates will be tested on their knowledge of current events, general knowledge, and business-related subjects in this section. It covers questions about topics like history, geography, sports, economics, politics, and well-known figures. To do well in this subject, candidates should regularly read newspapers, periodicals, and business-related publications and stay current on current events.
Candidates must take two extra sections of the AIMA UGAT exam if they are applying for the BHM (Bachelor of Hotel Management) programme which are- Service Aptitude and Scientific Aptitude. These sections are intended to evaluate a candidate's aptitude and skills related to the hospitality sector.
1. Service Aptitude
The candidate's aptitude for service-oriented aspects of the hospitality sector is evaluated. It focuses on evaluating their interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills as well as their commitment to providing excellent customer service.
2. Scientific Aptitude
The candidate's knowledge and application of scientific principles related to the hospitality sector are evaluated in this section. Basic physics, chemistry, and biology are among the subjects covered. The candidate's understanding of scientific concepts regarding food and drink, housekeeping, and other areas of the hospitality industry will be tested.
