Admissions into the engineering programmes require students to clear the AMITY JEE. The university has separate tests for the MBA programmes but MAT/ XAT/ CAT/ GMAT/ CMAT test scores are all valid here. Those candidates who have cleared the UGC NET/DST-INSPIRE/GPATCSIR/ICAR (ASRB)/ICMR/GATE are exempt from appearing for the entrance tests given by the university. Generally the selection Process is evaluated based on a video response for a number of questions posted through a link for videos available on the Admission Microsite.

Students applying to the graduate level programmes are required to score the minimum prescribed for each course from an education board that is recognized throughout India. Subjects required as a prerequisite vary depending on the course applied to by candidates. Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or PCM in short are generally required to get into the engineering programmes offered at the institute. Some bio related courses require students to take up Bio as a subject in the twelfth class.
