The Karnataka Government conducts the state-level medical counselling for BAMS and other major medical courses. Applicants who want to get BAMS admission in Karnataka must have appeared for NEET are eligible to take part in this State Level Counselling.
Ayurveda is one of the oldest systems of medicine and traces its roots to Vedic times. It is based on the curative properties of herbs and its medicines are known for the natural elements that they contain.
Counselling will be held right after the completion of NEET exam.

Here are the few steps of the admission process for BAMS
Check Eligibility:
Candidates must pass a Class 12 or equivalent exam from a recognized board that includes science courses (Physics, Chemistry, and Biology) and an English core.
The minimum percentage of students required for BAMS course admissions should be 50% to 60%.
Take Entrance Exam:
Appear for National-Level Exam such as NEET.
Await Results:
The NEET entrance exam results will be announced on the respective exam websites.
Participate in the Counseling/Admission Process:
Candidates are required to participate in the counseling sessions held by the relevant state agencies or institutions based on their admission examination scores.
Secure Admission:
At the counseling centers, candidates must go through document verification after being allocated a seat.

Not all colleges in Karnataka require BAMS Entrance Exam. According to CCIM (Central Council of Indian Medicine), any private BAMS college can avail 15% of total allotted seats for direct admission purposes.
