BMS Law College is amid the oldest college of law in Bangalore, which originally began as an evening college, especiallyin the LLB course of 3 years. With the passage of time, it began its LLB 5 year degree course in accordance with the University of Bangalore. Currently the college both for the 3 year and 5 year LLB course is held in the morning. Located in the heart of Bangalore city the origin of this college dates back to the 1963-64 run by the BMS Educational Trust. This trust had been named after Late D.R B.M. Sreenivasaiah. The college initially had been affiliated to the Mysore university and later to the Bangalore University and of late to the KSLU (Karnataka State Law University) and approved via the Bar Council of India.
A brief about the facilities offered by the college
The BMS College of Law is highly spacious and has classrooms that are well ventilated to offer an excellent audible environment. As far as the library is concerned, it is well stocked with books and journals and also has a reading room, Moot Court Hall, computer lab, scholarships, auditorium, separate hostels for girls and boys with furnished and well ventilated, spacious rooms, outdoor and indoor facilities and NSS. The BMS Law College also has within the premise a Legal Aid Cell. Those residing within Basavanagudi area will be capable of availing the legal help offered by the college because they will be allowed in visiting the cell any time covering the college hours.
Here the admission will be made strictly based on merit considering the total marks scored in the exam. Students seeking admission in this college and those admitted for such course will pay both the tuition as well as other fees as laid down from time to time by the University.
