CAT Exam Application 2024
There are two levels to get an entry for the CAT Exam
1. Registration Process:
The CAT 2024 registration can be done on the official website www.iimcat.ac.in. There are a few instructions to follow before you register for the CAT exam. CAT 2024-2025 exam date will be in November 2024.
- Make sure that you own an authentic and individual email address and mobile number. Assure that you maintain the same email address and mobile number till the CAT admission process is completed.
- Go through the eligibility criteria from the official website of CAT.
Read the given instructions properly
To generate OTP, the candidate needs to fill in all required/mandatory details to complete the CAT 2024 registration like
- Candidate Name
- Date of Birth
- Email Address
- Country
- Mobile Number
After filling in the above data in the CAT form, click on the “Generate OTP” tab.
Enter the security code displayed on the screen on a new page and check the box which says 'I Agree.' Click on the "Submit: tab to authenticate the CAT 2024 registration form.
Finishing of the Registration Process gets candidates an id and password on their enlisted email id and portable number.
2. CAT Application Form/Process:
The candidates are redirected to the page where they must fill the CAT application form and it demands the candidates to fill up the following details:
- Personal Details
- Academic Details
- Work Experience
- Programs
- Test City
- Payment
3. CAT Exam Fees/Payment:
The CAT Registration/application fee is Rs 2,400 for General category students. For SC/ST/PwD candidates, the fee is Rs 1,150.
The authorities have given several alternatives to make payments and also include the options like Credit/Debit Card and Net Banking.
SC, ST, and PwD aspirants need to upload a copy of their SC/ST/PwD certificates at the period of registration. Fees once paid cannot be refunded under any conditions.

The CAT application form is published by the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) official CAT website and candidates are required to fill the details in the form. The applicants need to be attentive while filling in the details as any errors should not occur and following it may result in the cancellation of the application form.
4. CAT Admit Card:
CAT admit card is an obligatory record to be taken to the test place. If you forget to bring along the admit card at the test centre, you will not be allowed to enter the exam hall or give the exam. Therefore, the applicant must download their admit card and take out a printout before the test day.
Candidates can download the admit card by following the below-mentioned steps.
- Click on the official website of CAT iimcat.ac.in
- And click on the download CAT 2024 admit card tab.
- Enter login characters User ID and Password.
- A pop-up will appear on the page which will say that the CAT application form has been submitted favorably and then click on the tab “close”
- The finished form and data related to applicant details of CAT will be displayed on the screen.
- Click on the download admit card tab
- A new page will open which will display the test center address and shift time and then click where it is addressed admit card.
- CAT admit card 2024 will be downloaded into the system.
- Check all details mentioned on the admit card and take its print out.

It is mandatory to carry one of the photo Id proof-like
- Voter ID Card
- Adhar Card
- Passport
- PAN Card and any other valid Id.
