The Central University of South Bihar in Gaya, India, is one of the 54 Federal Government universities under the purview of the Department of Higher Education under the Ministry of Education of the Government of India. The Central Universities (Amendment) Act of 2014 changed the Central University of South Bihar (CUSB) from the Central University of Bihar (CUB), which had been established by Section 25 of the Central Universities Act of 2009. It is an institution of higher learning situated in the state of Bihar.
The University has operated a permanent campus on a 300-acre parcel of land near Panchanpur, roughly 15 kilometers from Gaya town, where it has been conducting its academic and administrative operations. The catchy motto of the university is "Collective Reasoning." A stunning Entrance Plaza serves as the university's first point of contact with visitors. A stupa in the shape of a half-globe and a magnificent multistory Administrative Block highlight the Central University of South Bihar’s campus.
With its excellent facilities and wealth of resources, the boys' hostel is well-built to house more than 550 students with amenities like a home away from home. It consists of two blocks, each with a distinct mess building and a lot of open space. For a pleasant stay and study, each student is given a cot, a bed, a study table, a chair, and a wardrobe. The hostel also includes a specialized office, a stunning sports area with two badminton courts, a medical room, a visitors' room, reading rooms, amusement rooms with television and indoor game facilities, and two gyms/fitness centers for the use of all residents. The hostel is run efficiently by the Dean of Students' Welfare (DSW), the Chief Warden, two other Wardens, an office attendant, and other staff members. The Central University of South Bihar hostel fee structure is not included in the tuition fees.
A Career Counseling and Placement Cell at the Central University of South Bihar is in charge of overseeing student job opportunities and placements on campus. Events for campus placement are occasionally organized by the cell and are open to graduate and undergraduate students. Recently, a large number of college students from various professions have been hired by well-known businesses.
