• Because of its excellence in every field, the university has been awarded with many accolades. The university has received the prize for Best ICT Enabled University 2015) at the ICT4SD conference and awards.
• Prof. Dr. Ami Upadhyay, Hon'ble Vice Chancellor, was presented with an "Award of Honour" for her achievements as an Open and Distance Learning Administrator on the occasion of the 24th IDEA National Conference on Emerging Perspectives of Open and Distance Learning, which was held on 17-18 July 2020 and was organized by the University of Mumbai, the Indian Distance Education Association, and the Commonwealth Educational Media Centre for Asia.
• The "Best Innovative Government University" award was given to Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Open University by ABP News - National Education Awards 2019 on July 4 at Taj Lands End in Mumbai.
• The World Education Congress Global Awards for achievement in teaching, leadership, and education were organized by the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA).
