GATA Syllabus 2024

The GATA syllabus often covers a wide range of subjects, including maths, English language skills, critical thinking, analytical reasoning, and current events. PCM and Non-PCM subjects have a different GD Goenka Aptitude Test for Admission syllabus. Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics are all covered in PCM courses. It is similar to the 10 + 2 syllabus. The non-PCM subjects include quantitative aptitude, analytical reasoning, and English usage.

Goenka Aptitude Test for Admission (GATA) is a computer-based entrance exam that tests a candidate's aptitude, critical thinking, and logical reasoning skills. The exam consists of three sections: English Language, Logical Reasoning, and Quantitative Aptitude for Non-PCM subjects. PCM subjects include physics, chemistry and mathematics.

English Language

This section tests a candidate's proficiency in the English language. It includes questions on grammar, vocabulary, comprehension, and reading skills. Some of the topics covered in this section are:

Logical Reasoning

This section assesses a candidate's ability to think logically and analytically. It includes questions on reasoning, critical thinking, and problem-solving. Some of the topics covered in this section are:

Coding and decoding Puzzle
Blood relations Synonyms and Antonyms
Syllogism Analogies
Series Ranking and order

Quantitative Aptitude

This section evaluates a candidate's mathematical skills and aptitude. It includes questions on arithmetic, algebra, geometry, and data interpretation. Some of the topics covered in this section are:

Number systems Time and distance Algebra
Profit and loss Ratio and proportion Geometry
Percentages Probability Trigonometry

To do well on the GATA exam, applicants must thoroughly prepare for each section. To increase their knowledge and skills in relevant disciplines, they should practise the previous year's question papers, take mock tests and read a lot.

The GATA syllabus for Chemistry are- Basic Concepts of Chemistry, Thermodynamics, Equilibrium, Hydrogen, s-Block Elements (Alkali and Alkaline Earth Metals), Some Basic Principles and Techniques, Hydrocarbons, Environmental Chemistry, Solid State, Solutions, Electrochemistry, Chemical Kinetics, etc
The GATA syllabus for Quantitative Aptitude are Number systems, Time and distance, Algebra, Profit and loss, Ratio and proportion, Geometry, etc.
