IIFT Exam Counselling

IIFT result 2023 will be declared on 11th February 2023 on the official website of NTA https://iift.nta.nic.in/

Selection Criteria:

The Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) does not provide counseling but rather conducts personality assessments for students who have been selected for admission to its MBA in International Business program. The personality assessment involves the following:

• Essay Writing (EW)
• Group Discussion (GD) and
• Personal Interview (PI)

After Results

• Candidates will be shortlisted for WAT-GD/Extempore-PI in the first round based on their performance in the IIFT entrance exam as well as sectional cut-off scores. The number of candidates to be shortlisted along with the number of seats available determines the minimal cut-off percentile. The cut-off scores for female candidates in all categories are two points lower than the actual cut-off based on IIFT's gender diversity policy.

• For the final selection academic consistency, academic diversity, gender diversity, work experience, and IIFT scores (which holds majority weightage) are considered. Short-listed candidates will have to submit an essay on a given topic for the Writing Ability Test (WAT). For Group Discussion (GD) shortlisted candidates will have to discuss a given topic in groups. They will be evaluated based on those who demonstrate leadership skills, team player skills, communication, etc. In Personal Interview, they will have to appear for it and their evaluation will be based on academic, extracurricular, and analytical performance.
