KLE Law College has set - up a separate placement department for effective placements of students at the end of their course or after passing all the semesters. The placements are offered sector-wise in accordance to the subject or specialization chosen by a student. The students are trained on their required professional skill sets under the aegis of KLE law college placements conducted each year. KLE Law College also provides internship opportunities to the students in accordance with their specialization. The placement track record of the college has been very well over the years and has been enhancing every year.

The placement committee is an organ of the Mentor cell at KLE College. This allows the students to avail the job opportunities across law firms, LPOs, advocates or companies. Lots of students have established their career in the law firms and MNCs through the campus drive organized by the college. Students are being benefitted in terms of academics as well as jobs because of the continual effort put up by the staffs of the placement cell. The department keeps coordinating with the top recruiting legal firms and companies to invite them during campus placement.

Internship:

As per the requirements of Karnataka State Law University 20 weeks of internship (5 years course) and 12 weeks of internship (3 years course) during the course is compulsory.

• Internship in a year cannot be for a continuous period of more than 4 weeks in a given academic year.
• Internship shall be done at varied forums like Trial & Appellate Advocate Chambers, Judiciary, Research Institute, Legal Regulatory Authorities, Local Self Governments, Legislature and Parliament, NGOs, Corporate Companies, Banks, Insurance Companies, Law Firms and other Legal Functionaries.
• Internship undergone during academic classes shall not be considered.
• Each student shall maintain internship dairy in the form stipulated by the University.
• Certificates (colour photocopy) of each internship shall be submitted to the faculty in-charge soon after the completion of Internship.
• Therefore, it is hereby instructed to the students to comply with the requirements.

Details to be mentioned on Certificate:

• Student Name, class and Registration no. (University Examination)
• Name of the Institution/ Organisation and duration of Internship with date.
• Date, Seal and Signature of the Authority.
• Area of research and training.
• Student seeking letter for internship shall state the complete address of the organization of internship.

The opportunities may be in the nature of a job opening, Internship opportunity, or fellowship opportunity along with necessary details as to eligibility and applying for the same. Students are also trained to develop their own portfolio or resume required during the placement drive. The placement cell of the college starts its placement procedures for the final year students starting from profile building to final selections. The placement process involves several steps including-

• Personal Interview
• Document Verification

The students clearing all the above stages can think of a final confirmation of recruitment. The placement cell not only assists its students in grabbing job opportunities, but also helps the desiring students in their quest of pursuing higher education. The placement package of the law graduates is quite impressive at KLE. The highest package offered to one of the students is 7 LPA. The average package for the students at this college is 4 LPA.
