MAT Exam is national level entrance test conducted in India by AIMA (All India Management Association) for admission to MBA and allied programs to over 600 B-schools across India. This exam is conducted four-times in a year with the approval of Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India since 2003.
The upcoming CBT for Management Aptitude Test 2025 will be conducted on in the month of May and June 2025. This entrance exam can be taken up in three modes - CBT (Computer Based Test) , PBT (Paper Based Test) and Paper Based Test and Computer Based Test (PBT+CBT) for which Lakhs of students partake annually seeking admission to reputed management colleges.
AIMA has announced the MAT 2025 session exam dates. CBT and PBT are scheduled for 31 May 2025 (Saturday) (PBT) and 8 June 2025 (Sunday) (CBT), respectively.

Once the payment is made, the application fees won't be refunded and also the details in the application form cannot be changed.
The MAT exams will be conducted by AIMA (All India Management Association) in two modes - one CBT (Computer Based Test) and another PBT (Paper Based Test) for which the exam fee varies. Students are allowed to take up one or two CBT/ PBT MAT exams.

This MAT entrance exam is held for two hours with a total of 150 marks for 150 questions where all the sections carry equal marks weightage. The correct answers are awarded with +1 mark whereas a penalty of -0.25 for incorrect ones. The score card for MAT exam is valid for one year across all the B-schools.
The MAT Exam syllabus is predefined by AIMA, yet the exam syllabus sometimes depend on past MAT exams or type of questions asked. The topics asked in MAT are consistently updated as per the changes in exams and the test pattern.
MAT has five sections, each with thirty questions. A total of 150 questions are to be attempted over 120 minutes

All the sections are framed equally meaning each section carries equal marks weightage. Despite covering the important topics, MAT exam syllabus has a moderate difficulty level.
MBA aspirants have abundance of options to prepare from, for MAT exam 2025. The MAT paper is moderately tough in terms of difficulty level. But, what it takes more is the speed and accuracy to solve questions within limited time frame. This can be achieved only through rigorous practice.
There are total 5 sections asked in the MAT exam paper for which students can refer to popular books. The candidates are also advised to read newspapers and watch YouTube to get a better understanding of subject matter like Indian economy and business.

There is no provision of centralized counseling for MBA programs through MAT exams. The students themselves choose the option of 5 colleges at least during application, to whom the MAT scores are sent for further selection round.
Candidates who have applied for single PBT/ CBT MAT exam can send their rank/ score card to 5 colleges only while those who have filled up for two CBT/ PBT MAT exam can get access to 7 colleges.
The candidates then will be called up for GD/ PI/ WAT round for which the venue will be provided by the concerned colleges. Aspirants clearing all the rounds will be finalized for admission under MBA program.
