National Forensic Sciences University Ranking

The National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU) was established in 2008 and it is a central university centred in Gandhinagar, Gujarat. Gujarat Forensic Sciences University (GFSU) was its former moniker. The University has received NAAC accreditation with a grade of A. The University is approved by the University Grants Commission and the Ministry of Home Affairs.

For the meritorious students of NFSU, the School of Forensic Science has introduced a scheme of Awards. They are:

• Gujarat Forensic Sciences University Gold Medal:- This is given to the meritorious student of the MSc Forensic Science course.
• Laxmi Memorial Award:- A gold medal is awarded to the most female meritorious student of the MSc Forensic Science program. (Dr. M. S. Rao, a former director, and chief forensic scientist at the Directorate of Forensic Science Services of the MHA-GOI in New Delhi, has donated money towards the award in honor of his late wife, Mrs. Laxmi Rao.)
