NLSIU Bangalore Admission

Admission at NLSIU National Law School of India University is purely based on merit or an entrance examination. Admission For B.A. LLB, LL.B, MPP, LL.M, Ph.D., and Integrated Ph.D. selections are made through an entrance examination.

Eligibility:

  • Students must have passed 10+2 from a recognized board and have qualified for the CLAT examination to be admitted to the UG-level BA LLB course.
  • For admission to the LLM program, students must have a PG degree from a recognized university followed by a qualifying exam - CLAT.
  • For admission to a Master’s in Public Policy, students should have a graduate degree from a recognized university followed by a qualifying exam- PAT.
  • For admission to the Ph.D. program, candidates should have completed LLM with 55% aggregate followed by NLSIU written test.
  • For admission to the LLD (Doctor of Laws) program, an individual must hold a Ph.D. in Law from a recognized university with a minimum of 10 years of Teaching and exceptional academic achievement in the field of Law.

NLSIU Application Process for BA LLB:

  • Candidates must first log in to the CLAT website and complete the online form.
  • Candidates must also submit self-attested copies of all essential documents.
  • The admission fee must be paid online using net banking, debit card, or credit card.

NLSIU Application Process for MPP:

  • Candidates have to appear for an entrance test called PAT (Policy Aptitude Test).
  • Candidates will be selected based on the PAT exam and Personal Interview.

NLSIU Application Process for LLM:

  • Students have to give the CLAT exam to qualify for admission to the course.
  • Students will be selected from a merit list based on their performance in the entrance exam.
  • The entire admission process is as per the CLAT rules and guidelines. Students should check the official CLAT website for more details.

NLSIU Application Process for M.Phil & Ph.D.

  • Candidates must submit an application along with a research proposal of 10 to 12 pages.
  • Candidates can download the application form from the university website.
  • Candidates will have to pay an application fee of INR 3000.
  • Candidates are required to appear for the Admission test.

NLSIU Application Process for LLD:

  • Candidates should download the online application form from the university website.
  • Application forms must be submitted along with a research proposal of 10 to 12 pages.
  • Candidates should pay an application fee as prescribed.
  • Following the submission of the application form, candidates will be required to take an Admission Test.
