How to prepare?
With around 15 lakh students applying for the NEET examination, applicants need to maintain consistent hard work and practice to succeed in the NEET examination. Candidates can use the following tips to improve their NEET 2023 scores:
- Candidates should first go through the NEET 2024 syllabus and exam pattern before starting the preparation.
- Candidates must create a study plan and follow it accordingly.
- Practice a maximum number of full-length Mock papers, as it will help you in the preparation for the examination.
- Solve and analyse previous year's question papers, go over deep subject-wise exam analysis, and prioritize covering areas with the most weightage first.
- Refer to online study groups and online coaching institutes for study materials.
- Check how much time you spend studying and doing other things.
NEET 2024 Paper Analysis
The NEET 2024 Paper Analysis, based on feedback from students, shows different viewpoints across topics. In Physics, students rated Section B to be easy, whereas Section A was somewhat challenging and lengthier, probably due to more conceptual questions.

Analysis of the NEET UG 2022 Chemistry section
Level of Difficulty: Easy to Moderate
- The majority of questions were based on NCERT facts, statements, and tables.
- Assertion reason questions were included in Section A. Students must have strong conceptual clarity to answer these questions.
- The same statements without any changes were asked from the NCERT.
- Out of 50 questions, nine were numerical-based, seven involved matching the following, and five were statement-based.
- An error in one of the questions prevents it from matching the correct response.
- The highest weightage was given to 'Organic Chemistry
Analysis of the NEET UG 2024 Botany section
Level of Difficulty: Moderate to difficult
- Some of the questions were complex and difficult.
- The majority of the questions were factual-based, while a few were conceptual-type.
- A couple of questions were directly taken from NCERT textbooks.
- This year's question papers featured six figure-based and three direction-based questions, along with 30 'match the following' and 17 statement-based questions.
- The portion was lengthy and time-consuming due to a large number of long statement-based questions.
- Highest Weightage Chapters - Biotechnology, Plant Physiology, Plant Kingdom, and Biomolecules.
Analysis of the NEET UG 2024 Zoology section
Level of Difficulty: Moderate
- The Zoology section was quite lengthy.
- Some questions appear simple at first glance, but they were very tricky and required clarity and attention to the keywords.
- Most of the questions were from the NCERT textbook.
- Only eight questions came from the Biotechnology chapter.
- Even though the paper is mainly NCERT based, two to three of the questions appear to be connected, requiring thorough conceptual clarity.
- Highest Weightage Chapters - Human Physiology, Molecular Basis of Inheritance, and Tissue.
