NEET 2025 Merit List

The NTA has also published the NEET UG Merit List 2025 along with the result. The merit list is based on the total marks obtained by candidates in the NEET UG examination. In case of a tie between two or more candidates in the NEET UG 2025 examination, the inter-se-merit criteria are applied to determine the rank. Firstly, preference is given to the candidate who has scored higher marks in Biology (Botany and Zoology).

If the tie remains, the candidate with higher marks in Chemistry is considered the winner. If the tie persists even after this, the Physics score is taken into account. As a final measure, if all subject scores are the same, a computerized draw of lots is conducted without any human intervention. Candidates are encouraged to carefully review their scorecard and rank in the merit list before participating in the counselling and admission processes.
