NITTE University MBBS Admission

Students seeking Nitte University MBBS Admission should aspire to work with dedication and compassion to serve the society. The college offers undergraduate and post graduate programs affiliated to Medical Council of India, approved by Government of India and the Malaysian Medical Council. The admission procedures of the college are governed by a well set admission council. The process involves a sequence of steps before final confirmation of the admission which includes:

  • Submission of duly filled application by eligible candidates along with required documents.
  • Verification of documents by the admission council.
  • Screening of eligible candidates.
  • Intimation to selected candidates over phone or email.
  • Personal interview.
  • Final confirmation of admission through payment of fees.

There are a set of rules and eligibility norms to be fulfilled by the students aspiring to pursue Nitte University Courses Offered. The eligibility criteria for UG and PG courses offered by Nitte University are as follows.

Eligibility Criteria for Bachelor’s Program:

Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery

  • The applicants must have passed their 10 + 2 / 2nd PUC / 12th Standard Examination from any recognized university or board.
  • Students should have studied Physics, Chemistry and Biology / Biotechnology as compulsory subjects in the above mentioned course.
  • It is mandatory for the candidates to have English as a regular language of study in their 10 + 2 level education.
  • The applicants should have completed 17 years of age.

Eligibility Norms for Post Graduate Programs:

Doctor of Medicine (MD) and Master of Surgery (MS)

  • The candidate should have completed their Bachelor’s education from any of the college recognized by Medical Council of India or any other equivalent.
  • The applicant should have a permanent registration in any of the state medical council.
  • The candidate should have a qualifying score in NEET for PG courses.

The college has a specified number of seats approved by the Medical Council of India for each course and specializations rendered by the college.

There are a few additional documents that are to be submitted by the foreign nationals during the time of admission. They are:

  • Residential Permit issued by the Foreigners - Registration Office and the District Superintendent of Police.
  • No Objection Certificate from the Government of India.
  • Passport, Valid Students VISA for the period of study.
  • AIDS - free certificate from a competent medical authority.

Admission to the MBBS course is done on the basis of NEET-UG scores. Candidates who qualify in NEET-UG are required to register for the counseling process conducted by the Medical Counseling Committee (MCC). Seats are allotted to candidates based on their rank in the NEET-UG exam and their preferences.
Admission to the postgraduate courses is done on the basis of NEET-PG scores. Candidates who qualify in NEET-PG are required to register for the counseling process conducted by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
