The Rajasthan University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Bikaner, often known as RAJUVAS Bikaner was founded in 2010 under Section 1 Subsection (3) of the Rajasthan University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Act, 2010. On May 18, 2010, the University was established in Bikaner Rajasthan in the heritage and magnificent buildings of the former Ganga Avenue, which has the College of Veterinary and Animal Science, Bikaner (since 1954), which covers an area of 200 acres. Sir Swinton Jacob designed the majestic red sandstone structure known as the Bijey Bhavan Palace. These majestic buildings are an iconic representation of Rajput martial architecture.
There are 3 constituent colleges under RAJUVAS, one each at Bikaner, Navania, Vallabhnagar (Udaipur), and Jaipur. Rajasthan is the country's first state to implement a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model in veterinary education.
The RAJUVAS Bikaner facilities include classroom complexes, individual subject departments, a healthcare center, an administration block, and hostels. Furthermore, the campus offers an indoor and outdoor sports area, a gym, an ATM, a library, a canteen, and shopping facilities.
