RNS School of Architecture Review

The RNS’s main objective is:

  • To build a teaching-learning approach that encourages students to think freely, and explore the various aspects of architectural development and refine their creative abilities.
  • To motivate the teaching staff to learn about specialized and developing fields of technology and to acquire the ability to teach others about them.
  • To provide the necessary infrastructure, such as a library, workshop, computer-aided design lab, and internet access, to support learning.
  • To encourage professor and student engagement with notable architects who might serve as employers as well as interaction with innovative individuals in many fields.
  • The potential for faculty and/or student exchange, joint research, and faculty and/or student training with other top institutes in India and worldwide.
  • To prepare the younger generation to meet international standards, the long-term goal is to also introduce master's programs and research in interdisciplinary fields related to architecture and allied arts, such as building information modeling, international project management, sustainable building technology, etc.

Facilities available at the RNSSA:

  • Well-stocked reference books and textbooks, more than 14 national and international magazines, and an e-library subscription.
  • Studios and classrooms that are well-equipped with drafting tables and audio-visual equipment.
  • Woodworking, pottery, and a thermocouple studio.
  • Lab for climatology.
  • Exhibition hall
  • Museum
  • With the help of knowledgeable teachers, the students can learn the practical applications of building technology in the construction yard.
  • Modern architectural software is available in the CAD lab.
  • There are sports and recreation facilities on the vast RNS Campus.
  • Boys and girls hostels with strong security and other essential amenities.

The RNS School of Architecture recognizes the needs of remote students and offers hostel accommodations on campus and in the neighborhood. Male and female students have different housing options in hostels, which provide pleasant living spaces with services like Wi-Fi, security, kitchens, and communal areas.
RNS School of Architecture has cutting-edge facilities to enhance students' learning and creative processes. They have large design studios, well-equipped workshops, computer labs with architectural software, a well-stocked library, audiovisual rooms, exhibition spaces, and other infrastructure to provide a learning environment.
