SLAT Entrance Exam Application

SLAT Exam Application Process

  • Click on 'Register'
  • Read all the Instructions carefully and then click on the 'Continue' button to accept the Terms and Conditions.
  • Fill in the details requested on the page displayed.
  • Click on 'Save & Continue'. An OTP will be sent to the mobile number and email id that you have entered.
  • Enter the 'OTP' and submit.
  • After successful registration, you will get an email & SMS containing your SLAT ID and password. Use this SLAT ID for all communications regarding the SLAT 2026 entrance test/admission procedure.
  • Pay the SLAT entrance test registration fee of INR 2250 per test [government taxes would be additional as and when applicable], non-transferable and non-refundable as per the instructions mentioned on the Registration Portal.
  • In addition to that, you are also expected to pay the non-refundable and non-transferable programme registration fee of INR 1000/- (government taxes would be additional as and when applicable) for each programme that you wish to apply for.
  • Please note that payment of only the SLAT entrance test registration fee will not make you eligible for shortlisting in any programme, regardless of your SLAT score. Both fees must be paid as per the instructions provided on the registration portal. Failure to pay the programme registration fee will result in your application not being considered for that programme. No communication will be entertained in this regard.
  • If you have any queries, please log in to your SLAT ID and click on "Raise A Query" and generate a ticket. Generating a ticket is essential to resolving your query.
  • The modes of payment for the programme(s) registration fee are the same as those for SLAT.
  • Candidate must declare and maintain a valid and unique email account and a mobile phone number throughout the admission process.
  • A candidate is required to fill in the correct information in the online registration form, which corresponds to her/his credentials.
  • Register online on the website www.slat-test.org (up to November 30, 2025, Sunday). Note: No changes shall be permitted after the registration under any circumstances.
  • A candidate can appear for SLAT on both dates, December 20, 2025 (Saturday) and December 28, 2025 (Sunday). If a candidate appears for more than one test, the higher score will be considered for the final percentile calculation.
  • Please also note that if any information provided by a candidate is found to be incorrect, the University shall have the right to cancel the candidature of that candidate.

SLAT 2026 will be conducted on two different dates. Candidates can appear on both dates for the exam. The non-refundable registration fee for SLAT 2026 is ₹2,250 per test. Additionally, candidates must pay INR 1000 as a programme registration fee for each programme they choose to apply for. Admission to the selective programmes at SIU is solely determined by merit, evaluation of each applicant's performance on the Entrance Test for Undergraduate Studies, and other procedures established by the University.

Eligibility Criteria for SLAT 2026

The general criteria that almost all the SLAT institutes follow are:

  • Qualify for 10+2 or equivalent examination from any recognised Board
  • Score a minimum of 45% marks or equivalent grade (40% marks or equivalent grade for Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribes)
  • Those who have already given their 12th examination and are awaiting their results can also apply. But have to pass the passing certificate at the time of the final admission.

SLAT Admit Card

  • SLAT Admit card will be released on SLAT 01: December 11, 2025 and SLAT 02: December 18, 2025.
  • Candidate should take out a colour printout of the admit card.
  • Along with the admit card, photo identity proof must also be carried to the examination hall. Passport / Driving License / Voter ID Card / Pan Card / AADHAR Card (UID) are only acceptable.
  • If the original Admit card is lost, a duplicate Authenticated Admit Card will not be issued. Therefore, keep it safe till the admission process is over.

Having passed the 10+2 or equivalent exam from a recognised board with a minimum of 45% marks (40% for SC/ST applicants) is a requirement for eligibility for the SLAT.

The SLAT application fee is ₹2,250 for the test plus ₹1,000 per Symbiosis Law School you apply to.
Yes, foreign nationals are eligible for the SLAT. However, they must apply through the Symbiosis Centre for International Education (SCIE) and go through a different application procedure.
