SLAT Syllabus

The SLAT syllabus is divided down into five sections: general knowledge, reading comprehension, analytical reasoning, and logical reasoning. The exam has been designed to be difficult yet fair, and each section assesses various aspects of the candidate’s knowledge and aptitude. Logical Reasoning

The questions in this section are designed to test the candidate's ability to understand and analyse logical arguments and identify logical fallacies. It also tests the ability to evaluate arguments and to identify strengths and weaknesses in reasoning. The topics include:

Analytical Reasoning

The Analytical Reasoning section of the SLAT exam tests the candidate's ability to identify patterns and relationships among given facts and to draw logical conclusions. They also test the ability to understand and analyse diagrams, charts, and other visual representations of information and data presented in tables, graphs, and other forms. Reading Comprehension

This section assesses the student's ability to understand and interpret written text. This section typically includes different passages, such as legal judgments, statutes, and articles. The reading comprehension section of the SLAT syllabus is designed to evaluate a student's ability to understand and analyse written legal texts, which is an essential skill for success in law studies and the legal profession.

General Knowledge

The General Knowledge syllabus covers a wide range of topics, including current events, national and international issues, science and technology, sports, and culture.
