SNAP 2024

SNAP Entrance Exam is mandatory for admission in MBA programme offered by any of the affiliated Institute of Symbiosis International (Deemed University) [SIU] like SCMHRD and SIBM. For this Computer- based test, candidates need to:

  • Register for SNAP Test
  • Pay the registration fee for SNAP Test
  • Register for her/his choice of programme(s) offered by any Institute of SIU
  • Pay the registration fee, separately for each programme.
  • After CAT, SNAP is more popular among MBA aspirants in India as more than 50,000 students take this exam every year.
  • For SNAP 2024, the exam will be held on 8th December 2024 (Test 1), 15th December 2024 (Test 2), and 21st December 2024 (Test 3).
  • Aspirants who are planning to apply for this exam can fill up the form online.
  • The exam is held in three different dates.
  • The exam will be held for a duration of 60 minutes
  • The best performance out of the attempts will be considered for the selection process.
  • From 2017 the exam has started through online mode.
  • The exam is held in 94 cities, for 26 MBA programmes in 16 institutes

SNAP Application 2024

  • 2024 Registration last date is 22nd November 2024.
  • Candidates can fill the registration form through online mode on the official portal
  • They should fill the mail id and mobile number
  • Next they need to upload the latest scanned color passport size photograph and pay the SNAP test fee only after the registration
  • Here they will have to fill the institute (s) and program of their interests.
  • It is recommended that they should check the eligibility criteria before filling the form
  • For correct filling the form, please follow the instruction given on the website
  • After the final form submission candidates cannot alter any information

SNAP Preparation

Preparation Strategy:

  • Practise and revise the class 9-10 NCERT school Math books
  • Practice with tables, squares, cubes and decimal-fraction conversions, concepts and formulae. This will develop your comfort level with numbers.
  • Read good books and to broaden your knowledge.
  • Analyse each and every questions attempted in the mock test, once the results is out. Re-attempt skipped questions and write down any new approaches or shortcuts learned from the solutions.
  • Be thorough with the entire syllabus.; do not skip topics that frequently appear in the earlier exams
  • Candidates should familiarize themselves with the exam pattern and its structure.
  • Take regular mock tests, including full-length mocks and sectional tests, to enhance time management skills.

Exam Highlights:

  • The exam will be a computer-based
  • The test duration is 60 minutes
  • Each question carries 1 mark
  • It is an objective test that will have 4 responses to each question. Candidate should choose an appropriate response.
  • They can appear for a maximum of two tests
  • Each wrong answer will have 25% negative marks
  • If candidate appear for two test, the higher score will be considered for final percentile calculation.

SNAP Counselling

Stages of Counselling:

  • There are different stages of counselling and candidates have to undergo each counselling process for the final enrollment in the MBA courses
  • The first stage is the registration process. Here the selected students have to register themselves to participate in this process. They will also have to pay the registration fee
  • In the second stage they have to fill their programme of their interest. After filling their choice they will have to lock it.
  • In the last stage, seats will be allotted to the students on the basis of their rank in the merit list, their preferences for the courses and the availability of seats at that rank. Once the seat allotment is done, the students will have to undergo document verification round.

Some of the books recommended for the general English section are- Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension for CAT by Arun Sharma and Meenakshi Upadhyay, Word Power Made Easy by Norman Lewis, and Target SNAP (English) by Disha Publications.
Some of the books that might be helpful are- How to Prepare for Quantitative Ability for CAT – TMH Publication, Quantitative Aptitude by R.S. Aggarwal, etc.
For somebody it can be 6 months, for some, it can take 3 months to prepare for SNAP. It depends on how you manage your time effectively and your sincerity and seriousness

The registration fee is 1950
For appearing in SNAP you should qualify bachelor’s degree with a minimum aggregate of 50%.
The exam consists of a total of 60 questions, divided into the three sections as follows: General English - 15 questions, Quantitative, Data Interpretation & Data Sufficiency - 20 questions, and Analytical & Logical Reasoning – 25 questions.
The SNAP exam is 1 hour long.
The final ranking for the SNAP exam is determined based on the total scores obtained by the candidates. Candidates with higher scores will rank higher on the list.
