Admission in Ramachandra Medical College

The admission in Ramachandra Medical College is difficult or tough if students don’t meet the eligibility criteria. There is a dedicated admission department who takes care of all the admission related activities. There are strict rules and regulations for the admission process which should be followed by every one without fail. There are various courses offered by the college and each course has different eligibility criteria.

Undergraduate Courses – MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery) Eligibility Criteria:

It is a 5 and half years course with 1 year of internship. To get admission into MBBS students have to be passed H.S.C (2) examination/equivalent examination and obtained a minimum of 50% of marks. In case of SC/ST and OBC the minimum marks are 40%. The marks are calculated by taking together Physics, Chemistry and Biology (or Botany & Zoology) and a pass percentage in English. Also the same rules are applied for the Entrance Examination also.

Ramachandra Medical College Entrance Exam is not conducted separately but admission to MBBS / BDS / PG-MD/MS/MDS courses is through NEET (UG & PG). For admission into the college, candidates need to take up the entrance exam or interview. So they can attend classes from July of each academic year.

Higher Speciality Courses – Master of Surgery (M.Ch), Doctorate of Medicine (DM):

It is a 3 years of course where students can choose their specialisation courses. They get an M.Ch and DM degree after completion of the course. The eligibility of DM course is students should have DNB/ M.D degree from a University or college recognised by MCI in required specialisations. In the same way for M.Ch course student should have degree in DNB/MS in related specialisations.

Postgraduate Degree Courses in Basic Medical Sciences (MD):

It is a 3 year course and the eligibility of the course is students should have a MBBS degree from a University or college recognised by MCI.

Masters in Basic Medical Science Courses (M.Sc):

The Masters in Basic Medical Science is a 3 years course and the eligibility for the course is candidates should possess MBBS/ BDS/ B.Sc. Allied Health Sciences and also some other degrees based on the specialisations they choose. The degree must be from any recognised university. Students also need to submit the required set of documents during the admission and also they should submit the identification proofs at the time of joining.

Sri Ramachandra Medical College Fee Structure completely depends upon the courses you choose. The admission department clearly explains the students about the fee structure at the time of admission. The admission department plays a main role in deciding the fee structure of the college. Apart from the college fee there are also hostel fees which should be paid separately. The hostel fees depend on the facilities students choose. Some other fee like library, laboratory, exam fees, convocation fees and also some other fees should also be paid as per the timely requirement.
