UPSC IFS Application

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) IFS form was released on 22nd January 2025. All candidates interested in the IFS posts must complete an application form. The department will arrange the exam centres based on the number of application forms received, and they will also issue admit cards to all candidates who filled out the application form.

Candidates must complete the application form on the UPSC's official website. When the department announces the application form dates, they will also announce the deadline.

Here’s a step-by-step procedure for filling out the application form.

  • Visit UPSC’s official website to fill out the application form.
  • You will be able to view a “What’s New” section which will appear on the homepage of the website.
  • Click the link after selecting the "UPSC IFS application form 2025" option.
  • You will be able to see a new page which will be displayed on the screen.
  • Fill in all the required information, such as email id or mobile number, for registration.
  • On successful registration, the candidates will receive an application number with a password, after which candidates can proceed to fill out the online application form.
  • Upload the scanned copies of the photograph, signature, and all the necessary documents in mentioned size.
  • Pay the UPSC IFS application fee.

UPSC IFS eligibility criteria

Nationality:

The candidate must be an Indian citizen or be an immigrant of Indian origin from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, or countries in East Africa like Kenya and Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam to permanently settle in India.

Age:

Candidates must be at least 21 years old and not older than 32 years as of August 1, 2025. There are age relaxations for reserved categories, such as SC/ST (5 years), OBC (3 years), and PwD (10 years)

Educational Qualification:

The suitable applicant needs to hold a bachelor's degree in one of the following fields: Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, and Zoology.

UPSC IFS Fees 2025

The General and OBC categories candidates have to pay Rs. 100 as a registration fee for the UPSC IFS 2025, but there is no charge for applicants in the female candidates and SC/ST/PwD applicants.

Yes, the photograph should be in JPG format with a file size between 20 KB and 300 KB, and the signature should have a file size between 10 KB and 300 KB in JPG format.
The application form for UPSC IFS was available from 22nd January 2025.
No, the candidates cannot edit or make changes to the form once submitted.
