Know the Exam Pattern
First and foremost, candidates need to be familiar with the exam pattern, syllabus, and marking scheme of WBJEE. This will give them an idea about the exam structure, the number of questions, and the marks allotted for each question.
Create a Study Plan
Based on the exam pattern and syllabus candidates should create a study plan that covers all the topics in the syllabus. They should make a timetable that allocates sufficient time for each topic and includes regular breaks.

Paper Analysis
WBJEE 2024 Detailed Paper-1 Analysis
- Paper 1 was conducted on 28th April 2024
- The mode of the exam was offline mode
- The exam was in 2 sessions. The first half was Maths paper- Paper 1
- Category 1 had 50 questions, category 2 had 15 questions and Category 3 had 10 questions
- For students the paper was moderately tough.
WBJEE 2024 Detailed Paper-2 Analysis
- Paper 2 consists of Physics and Chemistry subjects
- Both Chemistry and Physics had 40 questions each
- Category 1 had 30 questions, category 2 had 5 questions and Category 3 had 5 questions
- For students the difficulty level of chemistry was moderate, and physics was moderate to difficult in difficulty level
