GRE Counselling
Results
GRE results will be available in the candidate’s ETS account 10–15 days after their test date. To check scores, candidates will need to create an account on the ETS (Educational Testing Service) website, the conducting body of the GRE. The GRE scorecard is valid for 5 years following the test date. GRE results are accepted by many graduate schools like business and law, as well as departments and divisions within these schools. They can check their scores by following these steps:
- Go to the ETS website and log in to the account using the username and password.
- Click on "View Scores" to see scores.
- The scores will be displayed on the screen, including Verbal Reasoning, Quantitative Reasoning, and Analytical Writing scores for the General Test, and the scores for any Subject Tests candidates took.
- They can also view their scores by phone, or by calling ETS GRE, but they will need their registration number and test date to access their scores.

Counselling
- Look at the scores for the Verbal Reasoning, Quantitative Reasoning, and Analytical Writing sections of the GRE General Test, as well as the scores for any Subject Tests candidates have taken. Compare the scores to the marks required by the graduate programs that candidates are interested in.
- Research graduate programs in different universities that align with the candidate’s interests and career goals, and that have the scores required for admission.
- Candidates should prepare the application, including a personal statement, resume, and letters of recommendation.
- They should submit the application to the graduate programs they are interested in.
- If candidates are invited for an interview, prepare for it by researching the program and practising answering common interview questions.
- They will have to provide their GRE scorecard along with academic documents from previous academic institutions to universities they have applied to
- They will have to provide a copy of their passport to prove their identity
- They will also have to provide financial documents to prove that they can pay for their education, including bank statements and scholarship letters(if any).
- Wait for the decisions of the graduate program and if get accepted to a graduate program, then proceed with the enrolment process.
Throughout this process, a counsellor can provide guidance, and support and answer any questions that candidates may have. They can also help candidates to develop a plan of action that will help them to achieve their goals and increase their chances of being accepted into the graduate programs of their choice.
