IPMAT

IPMAT (Indian Institutes of Management Joint Management Entrance Test) is a national-level entrance examination that is conducted annually for admission to the postgraduate management programs (PGP) at the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs). The test assesses a candidate's aptitude and potential through questions on quantitative ability, data interpretation, verbal ability, and logical reasoning. The test typically takes place in May, and the results are usually announced a few weeks later. Candidates who qualify for the test are eligible for the selection process at the IIMs, which includes a written test, group discussion, and personal interviews. The IPMAT score is valid for one year only. The admit card of IPMAT will be issued in the month of May 2023 at https://www.iimidr.ac.in/

IIM Indore conducts the test for admission to the five-year integrated management program. IPMAT 2023 offers admission for 5 Year BBA+MBA degrees at IIM Indore, IIM Ranchi, IIFT, TAPMI, Nirma University, and NALSAR University, among other prominent institutions and universities. The IPMAT 2023 exam will be conducted on 16th June 2023. The registration has already started on 8th March 2023 and the last date to fill the application form is 17th April 2023. Candidates who want to attend IIM Indore or IIM Rohtak to study integrated management must submit their applications before the deadline. Both on the website of IIM Indore and IIFT, the IPMAT application forms will be available. A Personal Interview (PI) will follow the online IPMAT 2023 test.

IPMAT Application Form

The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Indore conducts the Integrated Program in Management Aptitude Test (IPMAT) for admission to its five-year integrated program in management (IPM). To apply for IPMAT, you will need to follow these steps:

  • Pay the application fee
  • Submit your application and take a printout of the confirmation page for future reference.

IPMAT Syllabus

To evaluate the aptitude and analytical abilities of prospective management students, the IPMAT syllabus covers a wide range of topics and areas. Quantitative Ability (QA), Verbal Ability (VA), and Logical Reasoning (LR) are the three main sections. Mathematical and quantitative skills are evaluated in the QA section whereas English language proficiency and comprehension are the focus of the VA section. The reasoning and analytical thinking skills of the candidates are examined in the LR section. A Written Ability Test (WAT) and a Personal Interview (PI) will also be included in the IPMAT to evaluate applicants' communication and overall personality. IPMAT Exam Pattern

To evaluate applicants for the five-year Integrated Programme in Management (IPM) offered by the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs), the IPMAT (Indian Institutes of Management Joint Management Entrance Test) follows a clearly defined exam pattern. Multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and Short Answer (SA) questions are divided into the three primary sections of the IPMAT exam: Quantitative Ability (QA), Verbal Ability (VA), and Logical Reasoning (LR). There is a two-hour time limit for the IPMAT exam. It is crucial for applicants to carefully manage their time and allot enough time for each section. The number of questions and the marking scheme change frequently. This year the number of questions has reduced to 90 from 100.

IPMAT Ranking

When selecting applicants for admission to the Integrated Programme in Management (IPM) provided by the Indian Institutes of Management, the IPMAT (Indian Institutes of Management Joint Management Entrance Test) ranking and cutoff score plays key roles. IPMAT Counselling

The third week of July 2023 will probably see the release of the IPMAT 2023 findings. Prior to the announcement of the final findings will be the provisional shortlist. After the shortlist is revealed, applicants must show up for a personal interview. Candidates can use their login information to check their status.

The counselling process for IPMAT usually begins after the announcement of the exam results. Typically, the counselling process for IPMAT involves the following steps:

  • Publication of the merit list: The merit list for IPMAT is published on the official website of IIM Indore, and it contains the names of the candidates who have been shortlisted for counselling based on their exam scores.
  • Verification of documents: Candidates who have been shortlisted for counselling are required to verify their documents in person at the IIM Indore campus.
  • Interview Process: Selected candidates will be called for a personal interview, which is conducted by a panel of IIM Indore faculty members.
  • Allotment of seats: Based on the exam scores, personal interviews, and availability of seats, the seats will be allotted to the candidates.

The fee for General Category is INR 4,130.
Candidates have to qualify 10+2 and the age should not be more than 20 years for the General category and 25 years for the reserved category.
Reading comprehension, vocabulary, grammar, para jumbles, and para completion are the main areas of emphasis in the IPMAT VA section.
IPMAT mock tests simulate the actual exam environment, allowing candidates to experience the time pressure and question formats.
